Building Resilience

Liverpool John Moores University,

Resilience is the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties. The ability to be happy and successful again after something difficult or bad has happened. Resilient people are not only able to handle a crisis in the moment more effectively, they are also able to recover and get back on their feet more quickly.

In this workshop, you will:

  • Gain an understanding of the six resilience dimensions, i.e. change agility, physical energy, emotional energy, mental energy, purpose and recovery.
  • Learn how to manage energy more efficiently, optimising health, happiness, productivity and performance.
  • Learn what boosts and drains our energy and how to avoid burnout or rustout.

You will learn how to improve your own personal resilience enabling you to be successful, personally and professionally, in a high-pressured, fast-paced and continuously changing environment.

By increasing the protective factors of resilience, you will learn how to refuel your body for increased energy, align your behaviours for more purposeful living, seek emotional awareness and turn your thinking to focus on managing energy for healthy and high performance at work and in your personal life.
