Calling all ambitious tech startups! Slush’D, the UK debut of Europe’s foremost tech conference, is teaming up with Liverpool City Region Angel Network (LCRAN) to offer an exciting investment opportunity for entrepreneurs.
The conference, scheduled for 14th September at Liverpool’s vibrant Baltic Triangle, will feature an event where selected startups will have the opportunity to pitch to angel investors from the Liverpool City Region.
Liverpool Slush’D aims to bring together startup founders, operators, investors, and policy-makers to celebrate entrepreneurial grit and foster a thriving tech ecosystem.
With the backing of LCRAN, startups from any sector that are scalable, revenue-generating, and possess protectable IP can apply for the opportunity to pitch their businesses. There is no cap on the investment amount for startups, should they be successful.
How to Apply:
Founders attending Slush’D can apply to pitch for investment by emailing LCRAN@msif.co.uk by Monday 21 August. A total of 4 startups will be chosen to deliver 5-minute pitches in front of the panel of investors and the wider conference audience.

To help grow the startup ecosystem, LCRAN will relaunch its angel network at Slush’D off the back of a £1m investment from Mayor Steve Rotheram and the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, with plans to make it one of the biggest sources of angel investment in the North West – in turn supporting SME growth and creating new jobs across the region.

LCRAN is also calling for new angel investors to join their network.
“The network is open to investors from the region and further afield”, said Nicholson.
“You don’t have to be an ex-founder that has sold a business. Perhaps you have a professional job and spare liquidity and are curious about angel investing. Get in touch to discuss how you can become part of the network. .
“Investors with strong track records in tech, finance and operational backgrounds are particularly welcome, since these skills are needed for the development of a healthy investment ecosystem. We’re also encouraging applications from underrepresented groups – women and ethnic minorities.”
