Expand Your Life Sciences Business into Ireland

Are you a Greater Manchester or Liverpool City Region based life sciences company seeking to expand, partner, or scale into Ireland? You are invited to register your interest for this upcoming Trade Mission, designed for firms with UK operations – particularly those who have worked with or supplied the NHS – who are looking to explore opportunities in Ireland’s thriving life sciences ecosystem.

Why Ireland – Why Now?

  • Ireland is home to over 700 biopharma, medtech, and digital health companies, together employing more than 102,000 people.
  • UK’s Exports to Ireland as of 2024 accounted a total of £51.6 billion annually; with medical and pharmaceutical goods exports accounting for £1.5bn alone.
  • Ireland boasts Europe’s highest per capita MedTech employment, with 450 companies in the MedTech space and ambitious growth targets over the next few years.
  • There is strong ongoing investment in advanced therapeutics (e.g. biologics, cell & gene therapy), innovation infrastructure (such as training, research centres), and in regulatory & manufacturing capabilities

For UK companies with NHS experience, Ireland represents a culturally, regulatory and-logistically proximate market where a lot of the clinical, regulatory and health system practices will resonate — enabling reciprocation of capability, partnerships, supply chain and commercial opportunities.

Who Should Register

Companies who:

  • Operate in the UK life sciences sector (pharma, biotech, medtech, health tech)
  • Have experience working with, supplying to, or collaborating with the NHS (clinical trials, procurement, tech, services etc.)
  • Are contemplating growth, export and or partnership with Irish counterparts

Mission Dates: 3rd and 4th November 2025

Deadline for EOI Registration: 10th October, 2025
