The shortlist for this year’s LGBTQ+ Awards has been unveiled.
Now in their second year the awards continue to recognise the amazing achievements of LGBTQ+ people or allies in business and commerce.
The finalists have been decided by the awards committee after an increased number of entries, which has highlighted how businesses have been creative and resilient to bounce back in the past 12 months.
A judging panel will have the difficult task of now deciding on the winners of the awards ahead of the awards ceremony taking place at the Rum Warehouse, Titanic Hotel, Liverpool on 21 October 2022.
Drew Cockton, founder of the North West LGBTQ+ Awards, said:
“It’s wonderful to see businesses supporting the awards, whether that be through sponsorship or entering. The awards have grown in 2022 and this gives us the opportunity to shine a light on our LGBTQ+ brothers and sisters in business and thank them for making our region such a fantastic and opportunity-filled place to do business and call home.”
The 10 categories include awards for best new and small business, community impact, hospitality award, best employer, the LGBTQ ally award, and outstanding contribution. There will also be special awards given out on the evening.
Sponsors of the 2022 awards include Everton Football Club, ChilliMix Holidays, MSB Solicitors, Growth Platform – Liverpool City Region Growth Company, Westminster Associates, Homes for Students, Cool Breeze Agency and The Guide Liverpool.
