Mersey Maritime has launched their tenth annual industry awards and is calling for maritime and logistics businesses across the Liverpool City Region North West to start preparing their entries for 2024.

The Mersey Maritime Industry Awards (MMIAs) celebrate the achievements of the industry’s most outstanding companies and individuals, and are open to any business, company, individual, non-profit organisation or charity, operating in or supporting the maritime, logistics and energy sectors across the North West.

Mersey Maritime was conceived to create an ecosystem, championing and supporting one of the most diverse maritime regions in the UK and has been doing so ever since it was founded in 2002.

The awards will take place on Friday 25 October 2024, for the third year running in the prestigious surroundings of the Liverpool Cathedral.

Mersey Maritime Chief Executive, Ruth Wood said:

“We are delighted to launch our annual awards now in their tenth year and we are excited to see what this year will bring with regards to entries.

“We are committed to championing our members and the broader industry and the Mersey Maritime Industry Awards provides them with an opportunity to showcase their achievements on a national scale. We will once again be using a two-stage judging process, with both industry judges and a public vote.

“We have updated our categories to reflect the changes and priorities of the sector, wanting to recognise the achievements across net zero, innovation, future skills, maritime campaigns and those committed to driving change with our individual awards for Maritime Personality of the Year and Maritime Ambassador Award.”

Entries for the Mersey Maritime Industry Awards 2024 can be submitted via the application platform. There are 12 award categories in total:
