Three Liverpool City Region businesses took home honours at the annual VisitEngland Awards for Excellence, celebrating the best of England’s tourism industry.
The awards, which took place at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter, recognize business and individuals who demonstrate excellence in the sector across 20 categories made up of finalists from 16 regional tourism awards competitions.
Sunnyside Guest House in Southport was awarded the Bronze prize in the B&B and Guest House of the Year category while Gold awards went to Titanic Hotel Liverpool in the Large Hotel of the Year category and St Luke’s Bombed Out Church C.I.C in the Resilience and Innovation Award.
This national success comes in a significant year for Liverpool City Region’s Visitor Economy sector after the successfully hosting of the Eurovision Song Contest on behalf of Ukraine and other major events still to come including the Open Championship at Royal Liverpool.
