A tech company has launched a platform aimed at boosting the Live Entertainment industry further in Liverpool by driving footfall and revenue for venues, whilst showcasing local artists.
GetSociable, an innovative Mobile App is designed to transform the way residents and visitors experience the city. It does this by aggregating thousands of upcoming events in bars, pubs and clubs through partnerships with large ticketing platforms, and also allows independent venues to create their own event listings directly and seamlessly.
The app enhances the consumer experience by delivering personalised recommendations using algorithms based on each individual user’s preferences, tastes and behaviour, whether it’s live music, DJs, comedy, arts or sport. No two users will see the same content. Currently in development is a planner facility which will enable friends and family to connect with each other and create interactive itineraries for their visits, ensuring they uncover the best things to do whilst in the city.
There are currently listings from over 150 Venues on the app with more added daily.
Peter McCleery, founder and the visionary behind GetSociable is a proud graduate of John Moores University, and is thrilled to bring it to Liverpool.
He said
“The City’s unique blend of culture, community and innovation serves as the ideal launchpad, and I want this to become the hub for our future expansion across the UK. We have hired our first employee here and look forward to growing the local team further.”
In addition to LJMU, GetSociable have been working closely with the University of Liverpool and Hope University, as well as a number of industry associations throughout the Liverpool City Region.
The Company also received financial support from Innovate UK and other bodies after competing with businesses across the country for funding.
GetSociable is now available on Android by downloading in the Google Play Store, and on iOS by visiting www.getsociable.app.
