The Digital Business Incubation Centre (Digital BIC), is operated by the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) in partnership with the Hartree Centre.
The Digital BIC is an incubator programme for early-stage start-ups who are developing advanced digital technologies, e.g., high-performance computing, AI, machine learning. It is based at the Sci-tech Daresbury Campus in the Liverpool City Region. The Digital BIC provides £50k of zero-equity cash funding, in addition to £10k of R&D vouchers and technical, commercial and IP support to help start-ups de-risk their technologies and get to market faster.
The Digital BIC can only support UK-registered companies under 5 years old that are majority-owned by founders and employees.

Companies are encouraged to submit their Expressions of Interest as soon as possible and by 14 July 2024 latest. Successful candidates will be invited to submit a full application with a deadline of 25 August 2024.
Candidates will be notified if they have been selected to submit a full application within 2 weeks of submission and by 30 July 2024 latest.
