Curious About Socially Trading Organisations?

Creative freelance professionals and small arts organisations are invited to join an online briefing to find out more about STO’s.

This free online session hosted by Curious Minds and Kindred will take a closer look at the subject of socially trading organisations.

We will cover:

  • What is Kindred and why does it exist?
  • What is a Socially Trading Organisation?
  • How Kindred values “Social Value”
  • How Kindred invests – The 5 tests and more…

Facilitated by Nicola Higham, Collaborating Communities Manager at Kindred CIC based in Liverpool, the session will share information about Kindred’s work, including who they work with and how they invest in socially trading organisations in the Liverpool City Region. During the session, Nicola will also work with you to reflect on how you can collaborate, trade and demonstrate your investment readiness as a practitioner or organisation.

About your facilitator: Nicola Higham has been based in Liverpool for the last 26 years, having graduated with a degree in European Law from the University of Essex and Copenhagen Business School. She has extensive experience of working in Health and Social Care, Housing, place-based regeneration and investment funds. She specialises in creating and delivering innovative approaches that disrupt and challenge traditional delivery.

Since 2019 she has worked with others to create Kindred LCR CIC. Kindred is a community, which shares the expertise and experiences of its members to support the growth of the socially-trading community across Liverpool City Region. They also help that growth by supporting Socially Trading Organisations (STOs) with money.

This briefing will be taking place online via Zoom. A member of the Curious Minds team will be in touch with the meeting details ahead of the day for those who have reserved a place for the event.
