For this month’s sales-focused meet-up two local entrepreneurs from different industries will share their strategies for sales success.

Leon McCowan, Founder of Your Business Mobile and Sales Director of The Sales Dojo has over 30 years experience and expertise in transformational sales growth in the mobile telecoms industry helping to recruit, train and develop thousands of telesales, direct sales and indirect sales people. In 2016 he started The Sales Dojo, a community for sales people and sales enthusiasts to help equip the next generation of business owners, sales people, business development managers with the selling skills required to make their business a success. Leon is passionate about passing on his knowledge to others and in his talk he will share his tips on how entrepreneurs with an amazing idea can sell their concept to others.

Alongside Leon, Katherine Jones, Founder and Director of ThinK Wine Group, a reduced-calorie, low-sugar and vegan wines business will talk about her entrepreneurial journey which stemmed from her love of wine that was both kind to her waist and the environment. She will be discussing her successes, failures and what she has learnt along the way and how she has leveraged both her Influencer Marketing background and the sales distribution channels to build her business.

You will also hear from students at King’s Leadership Academy looking to secure funding for their business ideas as part of the Enterprise Education in Secondary Schools programme run by Brett Centre for Entrepreneurship. The pupils are now pitching for a share of £2,000 funding, ranging from £500 to £200, to help with their start-ups – thanks to a £1000 gift off founder/investor/influencer Simon Squibb.

After the speaker presentations and pitches you will have the opportunity to ask questions and enter a prize draw to win one of 10 copies of the hugely successful entrepreneur Simon Squibb’s #1 Sunday Times Best Seller book What’s Your Dream whist enjoying lots of informal networking with refreshments and food.

For those of you looking to enhance your public speaking and leadership skills in a supportive and friendly environment you are welcome to stay for the Liverpool City Toastmaster session that directly follows the Meet-up. Toastmasters International is a non-profit educational organisation that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of clubs.
