The Business Support Service at Liverpool City Council are delighted to host this workshop with our colleague Sharon Simons, Business Development & Partnerships Manager at Liverpool Film Office and The Depot.
As Europe’s oldest Film Office, the team have been expertly supporting film and TV productions for over 35 years, having welcomed 1,564 productions and generated £168 million pounds of inward investment to the local economy over the last five years. The team is responsible for ensuring Liverpool is the most filmed UK city outside of London, driving inward investment, talent, jobs, and skills.
You will hear all about the Film Office and its facilities database, the importance of sustainable practice and Film Office managed film studio The Depot.
The Film Office database allows all Liverpool City Region businesses to register their services to the film and TV industry. Productions coming to the region use the database as a point of reference when choosing facilities to work with in our region, this can be anything from security to catering, vehicle hire to generators!
With the importance of sustainability in the film and TV industry, the Film Office will also provide valuable insight on how your sustainable practices can be beneficial to productions filming in our region.
You’ll also be able to find out about how our fully-funded Business Support Service can help your business. We offer specialist advice with marketing, strategic planning, HR, bidding, export and lean operations. We can also connect you with support relating to sustainability, funding, skills, recruitment and innovation.
This workshop is delivered through the Business Support Service at Liverpool City Council which provides fully-funded support to existing businesses based in Liverpool and also to Liverpool residents looking to start-up a new business. This project is funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund with the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority as the lead authority.
