EY supports new talent with raft of graduate appointments and apprenticeships in Liverpool and across the North West

Professional services firm, EY, has welcomed a total of 80 graduates and apprentices to the firm, reinforcing its commitment to fostering new talent in the North West.

This latest intake represents a significant increase from last year’s total (63) and comprises of 64 graduates and 16 apprentices split between its Liverpool and Manchester offices.

They will all be working towards professional qualifications equivalent to either a bachelors or master’s degree upon completion.

Jenn Hazlehurst, Managing Partner for EY in Liverpool, said: “I’m delighted that we continue to build on the numbers of graduates and apprentices we welcome into the Liverpool office and across the North West, year-on-year.

We have some fantastic young talent already and continue to attract the best from right across the country.

“Our apprenticeship schemes are great opportunities for students from all backgrounds to access quality work experience and a degree qualification with an international firm, without the burden of tuition fees.

“We are always looking to grow and invest in Liverpool’s future, and a 40% higher intake of graduates and apprentices this year, is testament to this. I am confident that we will continue this trend of growth into next year, with each of our talented individuals helping us to increase our offerings and presence in the market.”

The apprentices will be supported and mentored by senior EY professionals, gaining valuable work experience through projects within EY’s service lines, as they complete professional degrees in accountancy and taxation or digital innovation.

This increased intake forms part of EY’s wider strategy to continue to nurture and invest in young talent so that they may grow and develop their capabilities as they progress within the firm.
