Six Stories, Six Boroughs profiles a star business from each borough of the Liverpool City Region, that has used support from the Local Growth Hub as a springboard to success. In this article we look at Wirral based business, DTG Finn.
Founded 65 years ago, DTG Finn have been designing and building confectionery machines for 50 years within a global market. Wanting to develop a new product and advance their production process within the FMCG market, DTG Finn reached out to the Local Growth Hub for advice.
Lyn Pitt, Managing Director, DTG Finn says:
“The research and development we have worked on over the past 5 years was launched around 12 months ago, and in the past 6 months, our sales have exceeded our sales for the last two years put together. This wouldn’t have been possible without the support we received from the Local Growth Hub.”
The Chamber of Commerce was able to help DTG Finn, providing much needed practical assistance such as, translation services, sourcing drivers for visitors and connecting Lyn with the right people to build on her success.
As a small company, identifying new industry requirements and product development can be challenging. The collective support from The Local Growth Hub and partners has really helped the team develop their product and improve sales.
