Over 50 Liverpool City Region ambassadors travelled to Goldsmiths’ Hall in London on 20th February to host a luncheon organised by Professional Liverpool and Growth platform for 65 London and South East investors and showcase the growth and transformation the region is experiencing.
Guests were inspired by key speakers, including Ian Bullock, CEO Royal College of Physicians that outlined plans for the new purpose-built office in Liverpool – RCP at The Spine (now known locally as the ‘giraffe’) that will be a ‘beacon of academic excellence and medical leadership, leading improvement of patient care and public health’.
Mark Bousfield, Director of Commercial Development and Investment for the LCR Combined Authority gave a compelling speech about the future of the City Region, highlighting the innovation and aspiration; connectivity to productivity; health and life sciences; digital innovation and of course record breaking football. He ended with a request that guests come and visit the city region for themselves and experience it first-hand.
Liverpool ambassadors ended the afternoon by attending a brand narrative workshop to explore their views on how to position the City Region in the future.
