Nearly 100 affordable homes built in St Helens as part of local housing association’s regeneration plan

One Vision Housing (OVH), part of The Sovini Group, is delighted to announce the completion of their latest developments in St Helens, bringing nearly 100 new homes to the area.

Forming part of their ambitious development plan to build nearly 2,000 homes by 2024, OVH’s latest developments on Fleet Lane and Hertford Street in St Helens have been built to a high specification with modern living in mind by MCI Developments.

Featuring 54 Affordable Rent homes, Fleet Lane has proved to be quite popular with residents as the scheme offers a mix of two, three and four bedroom homes, perfect for a variety families.

Hertford Gardens on Hertford Street, which boasts 43 stunning new homes, has also provided much needed affordable housing to the area along with opportunities for local families to get onto the property ladder through the Government backed Rent to Buy Scheme.

Rent to Buy allows prospective homeowners to live in a new build home at approximately 20% below market value for a minimum of five years, giving them time to save for a deposit to buy a home in the future.

Ian Mitchell, Managing Director for One Vision Housing, said: “We’re pleased to have brought nearly 100 new homes to the St Helens area, promoting our vision to create thriving, inclusive communities across the Merseyside region and beyond. Our latest developments have provided the community with a wide variety of housing options in addition to opportunities for local residents to get on the property ladder through Rent to Buy.”
