Good Liverpool announced a finalist at the Lloyds Bank Business Excellence Awards 2021

Good Liverpool has beaten off stiff competition to become a finalist in the Local Business of the Year in the Lloyds Bank Business Excellence Awards 2021.

The Lloyds Bank British Business Excellence Awards (BBEA) celebrates and showcases the resilience, innovation and creativity of British businesses.

Good Liverpool was set up in direct response to the pandemic as many small, independent businesses were forced to close their doors. They created an online platform for small, local businesses to continue reaching customers and grow their audience when many didn’t have a digital presence at all. Seeing an opportunity to revolutionise retail, Good Liverpool has created a community of independent businesses all supporting each other to succeed.

Going even further, Good Liverpool is trying to create a positive impact on the earth by allowing customers to shop through forward-thinking categories such as environmentally sustainable businesses, businesses that give back to charities, female-owned businesses and more.

Starting with just 4 businesses, it has grown over the past 18 months, now hosting over 60 independent businesses from all across the UK. They have also taken the opportunity with restrictions easing to host in-person markets. These immersive, experiential markets are hosted every 2 weeks around Liverpool with music, food, drinks and retail all available for visitors.

Alex Frech, Director of Good Liverpool said: “We are thrilled to be among the top businesses in Britain by becoming a finalist in these very prestigious National business awards. Being a finalist is testament to the innovation, hard work and dedication shown by our team during the last year.”

Event Director of The Lloyds Bank British Business Excellence Awards (BBEA), Sarah Austin said: “Our awards are a national platform to showcase, celebrate and honour the very best of British business. Becoming a finalist is a very impressive accolade; all our finalists stood out as truly creative and innovative during a turbulent year for British businesses; they have proven their companies to be resilient, entrepreneurial and really are best of class.”

All finalists will present to the judging panel in September, then the winners will be announced at the awards ceremony in November. Tickets to attend the ceremony are available to purchase through the website: https://britishbusinessexcellenceawards.co.uk
