Time to take a look at the tourism awards

The deadline is fast approaching…..but there’s still time to submit an application for this year’s Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards.

Businesses have until Friday 5 November to complete their application – and with 15 categories there is a wide range of options right across the visitor economy spectrum.

Taking place on 10 March 2022, there are a number of new categories this year including a ‘Resilience and Innovation’ award and ‘Unsung Hero’ category.

There will also be the return of the ‘Hidden Gem’ category, which highlights the city region’s best kept secrets and is voted for by the general public. Other awards include rewarding the best hotel, restaurant and attractions.

Long-term supporter of the awards, the Liverpool BID (Business Improvement District) Company have stepped up as headline sponsors this year.

Bill Addy, chief executive of Liverpool BID Company said: “Here at Liverpool BID Company we are proud and excited to be the headline sponsors of this year’s Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards.

“With more than 15 categories to apply for, such as Tourism Young Person, Unsung Hero and Hidden Gem, we need to make the Tourism Awards a celebration of Liverpool’s visitor economy especially after the past 20 months.

“To get involved, make sure you and your business submit your nominations before Friday 5 November. Good luck!”

Also confirmed are Quest Liverpool, Liverpool One and NML as associate sponsors and ACCL, Ticket Quarter and Wirral Chamber as category sponsors.
