Explore Liverpool launches new project to show Liverpool live to the world

Explore Liverpool has launched a new project ‘Explore Liverpool Live’ which gives people the chance to view Liverpool live 24/7 from anywhere in the world.

The first location is now live streaming from the Liverpool Watersports Centre, showing off some great views of Liverpool’s historic docks and waterfront. Looking over Queens Dock, you can see the famous Liverpool skyline in the distance, with the Liver Birds, the Wheel of Liverpool and St Johns Beacon all in view.

Liverpool Watersports Centre is part of the charity Local Solutions, and their aim is to make watersports accessible to all by providing a variety of affordable activities for individuals and groups.

Steven Talbot, Managing Director of Explore Liverpool, said:

“This has been something we have had planned for many years, so it is good to finally get our first location live, and what a great first location at the Watersports Centre, who do great work and offer so many activities for everyone to enjoy.”

This new project is about showcasing Liverpool to anyone in the world. From Scousers who now live abroad and are missing Liverpool, to people who are looking at visiting the city in the near future, and even people living locally can check out the weather. We can now watch Liverpool’s amazing sunsets and sunrises from the comfort of our own home.”

Jon, Manager at Liverpool Watersports Centre, said:

“It’s great to showcase Liverpool’s waterfront skyline from Queens Dock with all the activities on offer to a global audience through the internet. We would like to thank Explore Liverpool for the opportunity.”

As well as enjoying incredible views, you can also see people enjoying many of the activities that LWC has to offer.

There will be more locations launching very soon across the Liverpool City Region.
