Growth Platform Inward Investment team and partners attend World Vaccine Congress – Growth Platform and LCR partners (Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, The Pandemic Institute, Sci Tech Daresbury) attended WVC 2023 in Barcelona at the beginning of the month, with the support of Department for International Trade (DIT), to launch Liverpool City Region’s Vaccine Discover, Development and Manufacturing opportunity.
Dr Becky Jones-Phillips, Dr Shaun Pennington and Professor Giancarlo Biagini presented LSTM’s high profile work in the vaccine development and discovery space. This opportunity was launched to leverage interest in LCR for future inward investment, and the team were present at a stand to promote Liverpool City Region as a world class location for discovery of vaccine technologies, development and its expertise in clinical trials, leading the way in vaccine manufacturing and established vaccine supply chain and logistics.
Plenty of interest in LCR was raised over the four days with opportunities to follow up with companies interested in future investment in the region, whilst also strengthening our existing relationships with DIT and partners.
