Hairdressing Tutor’s Skills Earn a Spot on National Award Shortlist

Hugh Baird College is thrilled to announce that one of its hairdressing tutors, Andrew Manion, has been shortlisted for the prestigious ‘Hair Stylist of the Year’ award at the UK Hair and Beauty Awards 2023.

Andrew Manion, who has been in the hairdressing sector for over 19 years and is still practising in the industry, is a highly respected and experienced hairdresser known for his creativity and technical excellence.

His industry work includes TV and fashion, including the Milan and London Fashion Weeks. Andrew has trained countless students, many of whom have gone on to achieve great success in hairdressing.

Steph Butler, Curriculum Manager at Hugh Baird College, said:

The UK Hair and Beauty Awards 2023 Grand Final will take place in Birmingham in April.
