Region’s Legal Awards shortlist announced

Liverpool Law Society is delighted by the number of nominations received for the 2023 Legal Awards, the tenth time these awards have been held. These awards highlight the talent, diversity and skill across the Merseyside region and beyond. The competition has been fierce with a record number of nominations submitted in 2023, with entries from individuals, teams, firms, chambers and organisations across the whole spectrum of our membership.

“Reading the outstanding applications submitted for the LLS Legal Awards makes one wonder why lawyers get such a bad press. Many had glowing testimonials from clients and peers, which is testament to the fantastic work going on, in and around Liverpool. Maybe Merseyside lawyers, of all specialties, are just the best in the UK.” commented the independent judging panel.

Congratulations to all those who have been shortlisted and thank you to everyone who took the time to submit. Liverpool Law Society is proud to have such diverse expertise amongst its members.
“Each time there are awards for Liverpool Law Society practitioners there is special buzz in the local legal community. The competition between individuals, teams and practices is a healthy sign of friendly rivalry and keeps us all on our toes. The hard work of the competitors is matched by that of the LLS team and the panel of those who give their own time in judging the competitors. Our sponsors are supporting a worthy process and I am now looking forward to seeing the results on the night.” says Liverpool Law Society President Jeremy Myers.
The awards ceremony will be taking place during the Society’s Annual Dinner on Thursday, 9 November 2023. The Dinner is one of the highlights of the region’s legal professionals’ calendar and this year it will be taking place at the Liverpool City Centre Crowne Plaza Hotel.
