Welcome to the Social Economy Club

Kindred’s hosting a new event for socially-trading organisations, alongside our partners at School for Social Entrepreneurs, Capacity and LJMU. We’re calling it the Social Economy Club, to reflect the growing, thriving ecosystem that we’re a part of in Liverpool City Region – and the STOs that are driving real change in their communities.

It’s a networking and co-working event for businesses in the social economy – a chance to meet other STOs, share ideas, stories and solutions, ask for and offer help and support and collaborate.

The first event will be held later this month at Love Lane in the Baltic Triangle. We’re inviting STOs to bring a list of the things you need to support your work, your solutions and stories, and share them with fellow STO leaders.

For those who want to know what support is available for STOs, you’ll find a number of support services and organisations including Kindred, BlaST, Capacity, the School for Social Entrepreneurs and LJMU (amongst others), who’ll be more than happy to share how they are supporting businesses like yours.

Andrew Beattie, engagement lead for Kindred, says:

“The strength of the social economy in Liverpool City Region is based on the peer knowledge and support that the community gives to each other. This is a chance to tap into that, share your business needs and experiences, and mix up your week with a new spot to work from – with a great brekkie.”

Breakfast will be provided, along with refreshments. Bring your laptop and find a comfy spot to work for the morning, and make the most of the connections you meet.

If you’re working in the social economy, you’re in the club. See you there.
