Liverpool City Region businesses set to benefit from new supply chain readiness programme

RTC North are delighted to announce a new partnership with Liverpool City Region Combined Authority that will create exciting opportunities for businesses across the region.

The Supply Chain Readiness Programme aims to equip businesses with the tools and knowledge to secure and deliver services through successful bid and tender processes.

The programme will be delivered in partnership with the Combined Authority’s business support service – Growth Platform and will focus on hosting a series of customised workshops, action plans and one-to-one support.

With global supply chains facing unprecedented challenges and growing complexity, procurement has become a critical function for business success. The programme will enable companies to gain practical skills and access valuable resources and strategies necessary to navigate and engage effectively in the competitive landscape of supply chain procurement.

Targeted workshops will focus on sectors including, but not limited to Advanced Manufacturing, Digital and Creative, and Health and Life Sciences, bringing together a combination of tailored face-to-face and on-line support from industry experts.

These masterclasses will give a comprehensive introduction to the procurement bidding process and help businesses understand how to effectively compete when tendering for new opportunities.

Commenting on the significant opportunities this initiative will bring to businesses in the region, Steve Wilkinson, Project Manager at RTC North, said:

“We’re so pleased to be collaborating with Liverpool City Region Combined Authority on this project. As supply chains become increasingly fractured, complex and competitive, it’s vital that companies are prepared to meet these challenges. Our goal is to provide businesses with the tools and guidance they need to maximise their potential and succeed within both existing and new supply chains. By offering both practical tendering workshops and one-on-one support, we can help businesses overcome and navigate seemingly complex procurement challenges and open doors to new higher value markets. It’s about action, progress, and equipping them with the right knowledge and resources to succeed.”

Over the course of the programme, a series of 10 procurement workshops will be delivered, each crafted to address the specific needs of different industries. These sessions will offer businesses the opportunity to engage in peer learning, gain insights from guest speakers and work on tailored action plans that are aligned with their growth objectives.

The programme is available to 150 businesses within the Liverpool City Region.

This project is funded from the Liverpool City Region’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) allocation, managed by the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority.
