The Leadership for Growth programme is designed to develop the capabilities of aspiring managers and leaders within scale-up potential SMEs, across Liverpool City Region.
The programme aims to enable leadership and management teams to
improve productivity, resilience and business performance.
What they offer
They offer fully funded Chartered Management Institute (CMI) courses that help participants to develop either their operational or strategic leadership capabilities helping them to:
- Become action-centred leaders to lead change relating to people, technology, markets or products
- Improve their ability to mobilise people, resources and assets to maximise performance improvement and growth
- Identify opportunities and threats internally and externally for improved competitiveness, performance and growth
Ineffective management practices account for around 55% of the total factor productivity gap in SMEs (The Productivity Institute, 2022)
On-line flexible learning
There are two courses to choose from, taught at different academic levels, suitable for those in either management or senior leadership roles.
CMI Management and Leadership Certificate (Level 4)
CMI Strategic Management and Leadership Certificate (Level 7)
CMI courses are offered:
- Online, through a flexible delivery model
- Fully funded for eligible SMEs
- Via Edge Hill’s award-winning Business School
- Using their highly accessible and intuitive learning platform
- With formal professional body accreditation on completion and membership
