Livepool City Region Careers Hub lead partnerships of schools, colleges, businesses, Cornerstone Employers and careers providers, to help young people connect closely to local skills and economic needs through a responsive careers education programme.

The Enterprise Coordinator (EC) sits at the heart of the local Liverpool City Region Careers Hub in order to help schools and colleges improve their careers and enterprise programmes and to engage with the world of work.

Working closely with the Hub Lead, the EC will ensure the Hub is embedded into the LEP/Combined Authority skills strategy and make it easier for employers to engage with schools and colleges. Through establishing the local and national contexts the EC will focus everyone’s efforts on programmes and activities that are most effective in motivating young people, supporting independent choice, and supporting positive outcomes for young people.

The Careers Hub supports the Growth Platform which is the Liverpool City Region growth company, committed to helping grow the Liverpool City Region (LCR) economy by working closely with businesses to help them improve and prosper. The LCR covers the Boroughs of Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens and Wirral. The position will be offered as a fixed term contract to the 31st of August 2022. The role is full time (37.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday) with 27 days annual leave entitlement.

Due to current Covid restrictions the role will be initially based at home. However when restrictions lift the role is primarily based in Mann Island in Liverpool City Centre but will involve travel to schools and colleges that make up the Liverpool City Region on occasion (travel expenses are paid).

The successful applicant will be able to display excellent communicationskills, good at building relationships, ability to work independently and have good written and verbal communication skills. You should be comfortable holding face to face meetings as well as talking to large groups.
