Opportunities for Hospitality

We are working together with The Department for Work & Pensions and Liverpool Hospitality to address the urgent need to fill hospitality vacancies across the region.

Are you already experienced in the industry or want to further your career, or are you seeking a change in job in an exciting and dynamic industry, there are a variety of temporary and permanent jobs in Liverpool City Region with immediate starts available.

The Department of Work & Pensions can also provide free pre-employment training through a Sector-based Work Academy Programme (SWAP).

The 2-week programme will provide candidates with the skills and behaviours needed to embark on a new career in the industry and will provide the perfect launchpad for those wanting to embark on an exciting and varied career.

“It’s fantastic to be back trading and engaging with customers again. There is a certain vibrancy around the city and although there are plenty of challenges ahead, people are positive for Christmas trading and for 2022. A key obstacle that we, and the wider industry are facing, is the well documented shortage in labour. We have been very active in attracting new talent and have been working alongside the Growth Platform and Department for Work & Pensions, interviewing candidates who have completed pre-employment hospitality training as part of a Sector Work Based Academy Program (SWAP). The jobseekers complete a 2-week sector specific training course such as food handling, customer service training etc. and it gives them a fantastic insight and introduction to the industry. It provides us an employer, a new option for recruitment and we have been very pleased with the support we have had.”
